Does Royal Caribbean offer travel protection or cancellation coverage?
Yes. Royal Caribbean's Travel Protection Program can cover medical, baggage, and evacuation needs during the trip, and it includes a Cancellation Penalty Waiver as a non-insurance feature from the cruise line. If you cancel for covered reasons, Royal Caribbean may waive the ticket contract's non-refundable cancellation rules and refund the unused prepaid cruise value in cash. Cancel for any other reason and you may still qualify for future cruise credit of up to 90% of the non-refundable prepaid cruise cost. The ticket contract limits the line's liability for loss or damage, so it's worth checking your own insurance and whether this program fills the gaps before you sail.
