What is the drinking age on a Royal Caribbean cruise?
It depends where your sailing starts. That departure port sets the drinking age for your entire cruise, not whatever feels fair at the pool bar. On sailings from North America, the Caribbean, or Dubai, guests must be 21. Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and South America departures generally set the minimum at 18. At Royal Caribbean private destinations, the age is usually 21, though some beach clubs allow 18. If your 21st birthday falls during the trip, you do not have to toast the occasion with sparkling cider only. Visit Guest Services with a government ID and a parent or guardian so your ship record reflects the rest of the voyage.
