What is RoyalUp and how do stateroom upgrade bids work?
RoyalUp is the cruise version of asking the maître d' for a better table, except the offer is official, on the record, and priced up front. On eligible sailings, check your last name and booking number, then name the per-person price you would pay to move up a category. Bids cover the whole cruise for the first two guests, and you can shop multiple upgrade options while only paying if one lands. When Royal says yes, the card charges immediately and the nicer room is yours. When Royal says no, you keep your original cabin and your wallet stays bored.
- Invitation or eligibility check with last name and booking number on the RoyalUp site
- Bid per person for the full cruise. Only the first two guests are charged
- You can bid on multiple categories and only pay if an upgrade is accepted
- Accepted upgrades are charged immediately and are non-refundable. Declined bids cost nothing
