What is a tender port?
When the ship can't tie up at the pier, you'll take a tender boat to shore instead of walking straight off the gangway. Think of it as a nautical Uber with life jackets and a much stricter curfew. Guests on official Royal Caribbean excursions often get priority on the tenders. Coming back, lines can stretch and all-aboard time is absolutely real, so pad your schedule for the souvenir stop that was definitely going to be quick.
