What is a Guarantee or "We Pick" stateroom?
A Guarantee (GTY), sometimes labeled "We Pick," locks in a category like Interior, Ocean View, Balcony, or Suite without locking in the exact cabin yet. Royal assigns the specific room number and location later, anytime up until you check in at the port. That can mean an obstructed view, a Neighborhood View balcony on Oasis or Icon class, or different cabins on each half of a back-to-back. You are buying the category price and letting Royal choose the door, which is fine when the deal is right and specific location is not your hill to die on.
- GTY / We Pick books a category, not a specific cabin number or location
- Royal assigns the exact stateroom anytime up until port check-in
- Assigned cabins can include obstructed views or Neighborhood View balconies on Oasis and Icon class
- Back-to-back GTY bookings may get different cabins on each sailing, so you may need to move on changeover day
