Is there a doctor or medical center on the ship?
Yes. Every Royal Caribbean ship has a medical facility with licensed physicians and nurses available around the clock. Staffing usually means two to three doctors and three to five nurses, depending on the size of the ship. Facilities are equipped for evaluation and acute care, including things like cardiac monitors, defibrillators, x-ray, lab work, and medications for urgent needs. The first job in an emergency is to stabilize a guest, and when needed the team can arrange evacuation to a shoreside hospital.
