What is The Key on a Royal Caribbean cruise?
The Key is an optional VIP package that enhances your cruise with exclusive perks for a daily fee per person. If you decide to indulge, everyone age six and older in your stateroom must join the party. This is not a solo splurge. Perks vary by ship and sailing, and The Key is not offered on every itinerary, but when it is available, here is what you get:
- Priority access during your Key-designated arrival time (sent by email before sail day)
- Carry-on bag drop-off with delivery to your stateroom (two bags per guest, 25 lbs each max)
- Exclusive welcome lunch in the Main Dining Room with The Key signature menu (Day 1, 12:00–1:30 pm)
- 20% off dining offers when you book on Day 1
- 50% off select onboard sports activities
- $60 off spa services with a minimum $250 spend
- Fast lane access at select onboard activities
- Priority departure at tender ports (ship to shore)
- Dedicated seating at shows in the Main Theater, Aqua Theater, Studio B, and Two70
- VOOM Surf + Stream internet for one device per Key purchaser
- Exclusive à la carte breakfast and choice departure on debarkation day
Your SeaPass card should show a Key icon once the package is active. If it does not, ask your stateroom attendant or Guest Services. Show reservations are required on Quantum and Oasis class ships. Priority terminal access is not offered in Vancouver, Singapore, or at ports in Australia. Specialty dining reservations tied to the Day 1 discount must be made on Day 1 of the sailing.
