How much extra do solo cruisers pay for a stateroom?
Posted cruise fares assume two people sharing a cabin. If you want the room to yourself, Royal typically charges 200% of the category rate, unless a sailing advertises different solo pricing. That is the classic single supplement: you are buying both halves of a double-occupancy room. Watch the fare details when you book, and ask a travel advisor if a solo-friendly deal is hiding in the fine print for your dates.
- Website rates are based on double occupancy
- Solo guests usually pay 200% of the category rate for a private stateroom
- Some sailings may advertise different solo pricing when noted
- Confirm the single occupancy total before you deposit
