When should I arrive at the port on embarkation day?

Your arrival window is a reservation at the pier, not an all-day invitation. You pick it during online check-in, and the exact time shows on your mobile boarding pass in the Royal Caribbean app. Aim for that slot. Roll in much earlier and you will most likely wait, though an empty port may wave you through a few minutes ahead, which is a happy accident rather than something to plan around. Traffic ran long? You can still board after your assigned time as long as you beat the sailing's real deadline, when everyone must be fully checked in and onboard no later than 90 minutes before the port closes boarding. Closure times vary by port, so check your sailing details instead of guessing. Finish online check-in from home so embarkation morning is about getting on the ship, not finishing paperwork.
