What is a non-refundable deposit fare, and what happens if I cancel?

A non-refundable deposit fare is the lower-priced option that trades flexibility for a better rate. When you book it, the deposit is due at booking and stays with Royal Caribbean if you cancel later. Outside final payment, cancelling usually means you lose the full deposit while any extra payments you've made are refunded. Changing ship or sail date can add change fees, and if you booked through a travel advisor, changes go through them. On the website, look for the fare labeled Non-refundable deposit so you know which deal you're choosing before you hit confirm.
