When is final payment due for my cruise?
Final payment is due well before sail day, and how early depends on cruise length and which payment schedule applies to your booking. For many individual bookings, Royal Caribbean needs the balance at least 75 days before sailing on 1 to 4-night cruises, 90 days before on 5 to 14-night cruises, and 120 days before on sailings of 15 nights or longer. Holiday sailings that touch Christmas or New Year's follow those same windows, while group bookings run on their own schedule. Some newer bookings use updated bands: 75 days for 1 to 4 nights, 90 days for 5 to 9 nights, and 120 days for 10 nights or longer. That newer schedule already appears for certain Alaska, Hawaii, Transpacific, Panama Canal, and Pacific Coastal reservations created on or after September 29, 2026 for sailings on or after April 11, 2028. Pay it off and cruise documents usually appear about 30 days before you sail, which is when the itinerary stops being a screenshot and starts being a plan.
