What is a back-to-back cruise?
A back-to-back, or B2B, means you book two or more cruises in a row, usually on the same ship, so turnaround day is a handoff instead of a goodbye. While everyone else is hauling luggage through the terminal, consecutive cruisers stay aboard for the next itinerary with help on dining requests and other transition details. You still follow each sailing's rules, including things like one wine bottle per cruise if you bring alcohol aboard. If either leg is a Guarantee cabin, you may need to move rooms on changeover day, so pack a little like you might switch addresses mid-vacation.
- Two or more consecutive sailings, typically on the same ship without flying home in between
- Royal welcomes back-to-back bookings and supports the shipboard transition between voyages
- Policies like the wine bottle allowance apply per sailing, not as one combined cruise
- Guarantee (GTY) cabins on either leg may mean changing staterooms on changeover day
